LuLu Beans Crochet is now working with 2 new photographers!  so get ready for some real photographs of our hats! (My photography skills are lacking, to say the least!)

Ashley Derr Photography is a local (well local for me) photographer and we actually went to high school together.  She has two of her own adorable little models plus many others.  Please go check out her photography!  www.AshleyDerrPhotography.com

Shades of Love Photography is in the Chattanooga, TN area and is fabulous!  Go check her work out and if you are in the area give her a call!  She is always looking for new models!  www.facebook.com/shadesoflovephotography   or   http://www.shadesoflovephotography.com

We are incredibly excited to start working with these two great photographers and to see our hats in action!

I have joined my first afghan CAL. (CAL is a crochet along…you work the same piece as many others meeting weekly goals). One of my favorite designers, Inner Hooker, is starting another blanket CAL this week. If you would like to “join”, just check back every Friday for the following weeks goal.

This is what we will be making…

I didn’t waste a minute and ran to Joanns for some yarn! I already have the first square started! I will post an update on my progress every week… Maybe that will help me stick with it! (I am notorious for starting a blanket and never finishing!). Hopefully you will join in on the fun!

Happy Hooking!

Baseball is a huge deal in our house! So when Crochet My Love Designs debuted this hat, I had to get it!

20120520-123500.jpg. I have a 3-6 month RTS…check out our Facebook page for more info

I am thinking Orioles colors for the next one! Go O’s!

Last Sunday I decided I was gonna write out my own pattern, and not just a simple sc beanie…well here is my end result… (terrible picture, I know)

I am pretty proud of myself. I love the cluster look!

I had the entire pattern written down, newborn to adult, so yesterday morning I pull out my old, crappy, SLOW laptop, get my little notes, and the love of my life (coffee!) and set out to type up this new pattern. Searching, searching, what do you mean my adobe has disappeared! With my head hung low I open up word… I typed it all up in word (not my favorite program…) and I will just convert when we purchase the Mac (hopefully soon, she says with a squeal!)

On a side note…I would for some crochet peeps to try it out! If interested please email me at lulu.beans@yahoo.com

This particular hat will get some sort of ribbon / button then it is off for another auction…
This one to help a mother and son both battling from brain cancer / tumor. It’s a worthy cause so go check it out! Pam McCann Auction

So who doesn’t love a piece of juicy watermelon on a hot summer day?! Well, honestly, me but I do love this hat! This is the Katrina Cloche (pattern by Crochet By Jennifer) all dressed up for summer. This particular hat I donated to an auction to help a family purchase a headstone for their 2 year old granddaughter. You can check out Emmy’s Auction at Khy’s Closet. Hurry, the auction ends soon!

The Katrina Cloche is available in newborn thru adult. You get to choose up to three colors and ribbon color.

Here is the latest hat to join the LuLu Beans family…
