So who doesn’t love a piece of juicy watermelon on a hot summer day?! Well, honestly, me but I do love this hat! This is the Katrina Cloche (pattern by Crochet By Jennifer) all dressed up for summer. Valentines day is fast approaching and I had yet to do one hat…well I had started one but ended up with a total of 7 orders for February! As it turned out one of my orders was for a cherry red hat made from thick and thin merino yarn. I purchased the yarn on etsy from Godiva Yarnshere is Camille’s hat…

The Willow Hat

You will need…
“P” hook
Thick and thin yarn of your choice (mine was from Winding the Skein)
Tapestry needle
Ribbon of choice

Gauge: 9 st = 4 inches

I did this in the round (did not join) but you can join if you feel more comfortable)

Magic ring, 7 sc inside (7 sc)
Row1: 2 sc in each sc (14 sc)
Row2: 1 sc, 2 sc, repeat around (21 sc)
Row3: sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc, repeat around. (24 sc)
Row4-10: sc around (24 sc)
Fasten off and weave in all tails.
Cut your ribbon strips to the length you want (mine were 30 inches) fold in half and attach to the sides of the hat.
And your done!

Gracie beanie

So a week or so ago I signed up to be a pattern tester for an awesome lady, Jennifer of Crochet by Jennifer. Boy can she crank out the patterns! She sent me this adorable beanie to test. It was a more difficult pattern to follow with the cables and twisting but only took me about 2 hours to complete.
